Lido Beach, NY

The House expresses its relationship to the context in a way which portrays the idea of looking out towards to sea as an opportunity to determine the geometry of the building within the constraints given by the lot size and position. In that sense the movement of the architecture is oriented to gain Views out to the water through and in between the neighboring homes and eventually directly from the rooftop and living room on the upper floor. The stairs are imagined as the promenade through the space is connecting all public areas of the Houses three dimensionally into one continuous experience.
